Firm is looking for a practitioner of Business Intelligence to partner on the design and execution of our Business Intelligence product. An ideal candidate in this space will have the ability to execute, manage, and drive. The Director will interact closely with specific Business Unit stakeholders to understand their needs, identify solutions, and implement products that create value. The Director of Analytics and Insights will have the opportunity to do groundbreaking work that will shape the industry.
The work will focus on delivering insights and analysis to drive decision making for specific Business Unit domains such as Marketing, Supply Chain, Retail Operations, Business Development, Finance & Planning, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Field Ops, Product Development, and Digital Platforms & Customer Experience. (Please note your specific experience when applying) The ideal candidate has strong experience deploying problem solving by leveraging advanced statistics, BI reporting & visualization platforms, test design and deployment, measurement plan and frameworks, and opportunity identification. The right person for this role will be able to mentor, coach and develop Business Intelligence best practices that propagate throughout the organization.

Partner with business unit stakeholders to design, own and implement a comprehensive business intelligence program including products including:
Business Unit Level BI Roadmap
Relevant POV Development
Relevant Vendor Evaluation & Implementation
Present actionable analytics and future recommendations.
Be responsible for hiring, retaining and mentoring talent for your specific unit
Act in a Player / Coach capacity, willing and able to roll up your sleeves and contribute to execution where needed.
Define business unit metrics and KPIs; align these to global organization metrics & KPIs
Identify opportunities to deploy/partner with Data Science, Intelligence Enablement and Consumer/Market Insights discipline leads.
Partner on high-quality documentation and governance to ensure our analytics platform contains high quality, managed data that is easy to consume.
Embed business intelligence capabilities and advocate for business value through new platforms, products and solutions.
Provide insights and recommendation on best in industry business intelligence opportunities.
Automate and streamline processes while minimizing human intervention.
Ability to translate business questions into problems solvable by using analytics tools, with the skill to read between the lines to find the question behind the question.
Ability to quickly understand which data is used by which business processes and what the data means in the context of these specific processes
Ability to assess disparate technologies, data sources and business processes and clearly communicate them to executives and execution team
You are able to understand the time it takes to complete work and manage expectations
Experience administering and developing visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau as well as temporary hacks in Excel.
Strong story telling in the form of decks, emails or similar.
A proven track record of successfully implementing BI, Statistics, Research and/or Advanced Analytics Solutions
Working familiarity with upstream data producers such ETL, data architecture and instrumentation
Extensive Experience with analytics and data tools (R, SQL, Python, SAS, MatLab, SPSS etc.).
Experience in analytics across merchandising, retail marketing, digital media and consumer trends is a plus
Previous experience working at a Startup and/or Ecommerce business is a plus
Ability to think and pivot quickly, a strong ability to deal with ambiguity
A positive, energetic and passion for Intelligence work
Experience managing vendor and partner relationships and engaging with new vendors and partners to continuously introduce new and relevant technologies
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, with strong teamwork, interpersonal and influencing skills

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
Regular 8 hour shifts, 5 days a week.
As needed, not to exceed 15% travel.
Required Education and Experience
8+ years of relevant experience. 3+ Years Management Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field – Master’s is preferred
