Job Summary

Firm is looking for an Inventory Control Manager focused on managing the gas supply chain and logistics across the country for Kush Energy. This position will be based in La Porte, TX integrated with our gas supplier there. The Inventory Control Manager will ensure proper quality of products leaving the facility, apply asset tags as necessary, coordinate asset movements in ERP/WMS system, coordinate freight, and LTL of products across the country.

 

Receives Direction From:

 

Director of Operations/ Director of Support and Compliance

 

Provides Direction to:

 

  • Gas Supplier

  • LTL and 3rd party hazardous material carriers

  • Coordinates with lead drivers and inventory coordinator

 

Examples of Essential Functions:

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure receipts of shipments and confirm contents

  • Apply asset tags and ensure proper movements in inventory system

  • Coordinate with satellite facilities to ensure inventory SOPs are being met and inventory is accurate

  • Ensure timely PO submission and quality coming from gas supplier

  • Work with LTL and 3rd party truckload carriers to arrange, load, and manage shipments

  • Compile and Communicate detailed cylinder reports to destination warehouses

  • Book and manage LTL shipments, pick-ups, and deliveries

 

Qualifications Guidelines

 

Education/training/experience:

 

  • 3+ years' experience

  • Inventory Management and Gas experience preferred

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking

  • Logistics and LTL experience

 

Knowledge of:

  • ERP/WMS Programs

  • Inventory management concepts

  • Word, Excel and Powerpoint

  • Must have finger dexterity, ability to use keyboard/ten key

  • Constantly sitting, standing, walking, and operating a computer workstation.

  • This position may rarely require kneeling, bending, squatting

  • Must have finger dexterity, ability to use keyboard/ten key

  • Reach, stoop and lift office files, records or reports, typically weighing 20 pounds or less

  • Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds
