The Material Planner is responsible for the planning and reordering of materials against the master production schedule. At a high-level, success in this position will be measured by the planners ability to provide a steady flow of materials to each production line. The Material Planner will work closely with the Demand Planning, Production Planning, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Procurement, Plant Management, Quality & Inventory Management teams.

Coordinate with demand planning to understand the forward-looking demand plan and how that will drive material
Utilize MRP within the production module of the ERP to drive material needs for multiple production lines.
Continuously coordinate with the plant master scheduler as material availability differs from production schedule
Identify ways to aggregate material buys, so MedMen can benefit from bulk buy discounts.
Work closely with cultivation and manufacturing to understand forecasted yields by product
Work closely with production planning so that material requirement plans are in line with the forward-looking production
Work closely with innovation as initial component buys are secured for new product
Provide weekly and monthly updates during S&OP meetings on health of material planning.
Work closely with purchasing to make sure materials are scheduled to arrive in time for production.
Expedite PO’s as needed, but work to decrease frequency of costly rush
Work with other members of the Supply Chain team to develop KPI’s to track the health and accuracy of the Material Planning
Work with the Quality team to ensure materials are received and ready for
Coordinate RTVs as
Coordinate with finance to compile reports for monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close.
Support ad hoc project requests from the Production Planning
Bachelor’s Degree in business analytics, supply chain, or industrial engineering preferred.
Strong background in a variety of inventory management concepts, practices and procedures. Specific material or production planning experience preferred
Experience as a material planner, production planner, master scheduler, demand planner, or supply
Experience using an ERP system with MRP & MPS
Exceptional verbal and written communication
Strong knowledge of inventory accounting principles and
Ability to create and implement effective processes &
Strong Microsoft Office skills, highly proficient in Excel (e.g., Excel formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables) and has skill in preparing tables, graphs, and

This job operates in an office setting, sometimes in a retail environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, file cabinets and fax machines. This role may also require the employee to handle product, lifting boxes, taping boxes, etc

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filling cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Less than 15% travel is expected for this position
