As the Warehouse Specialist, you will be responsible for the receiving, organizing, and safe storage of facility materials. You will be responsible for ensuring that all orders coming into the facility are accurate, properly marked, and properly stored, and/or delivered to their respective areas, in order to ensure the smooth operation of everyday operation.
Oversee the receiving department.
Receive incoming shipments in collaboration with other members of the team.
Verify shipments that are received against the shipping documentation.
Inspect received items for damages/defects.
Manage the storage of items once they are received.
Record incoming shipments and document them appropriately.
Ensure accuracy of documentation and inventory.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
Coordinate with Procurement for expected deliveries (ie. size, date, priority, etc.)
Assist production to distribute supplies on demand and ensure smooth transition of material.
Movement and coordination of materials to and from storage warehouses.
Ensure compliance and all necessary records are delivered to QA.
Coordinate with the Fulfillment team for daily needs to supply all required material for daily operation and notify at low inventory, supply weekly pack slips, erect new equipment, deliver Purolator order for shipment.
Prepare and execute inter-company shipments and all international shipping.
Receive all incoming and outgoing deliveries, regardless of the time during the shift.
Coordinate with construction team to prevent back log of material in ship bay.
Notify and coordinate all external trades required for day to day operations. ie, Door Doctor, A.M.B Lift, Drain All.
Train any new team members.
Coordinate and submit all new(printed) material to Marketing.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Background
Ability to lift heavy items.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience using a Fork Lift, Reach Truck, Order Picker and Electric Pallet Truck would be an asset.
Experience working in a warehouse.
Ability to work at heights.
Attention to detail.
Documentation and record keeping experience.
This is an hourly paid position, based out of Fredericton, NB. Depending on your seniority and
what you bring to the table, we’ll figure everything else out.
