A premiere consumer packaged goods company is seeking a Director of Sales, a leadership role for their Nutritionals Division as the company continues to grow their footprint as a leader of hemp-derived CBD products in the cannabis industry. The Director of Sales will contribute to the success of the firm by overseeing the infrastructure expansion and revenue growth, and be responsible for driving the development and execution of the overall sales strategy through various sales channels including distribution, wholesale, retail and eCommerce. The Director of Sales will collaborate with cross-functional business leaders, including Marketing, Finance, and Operations.

Develop strategy and tools to measure strategy success.
Lead complex sales negotiations and help close deals when needed.
Create and execute the ‘go to market’ sale strategy to achieve business development.
Partner closely with the Marketing Team for launching revenue generation programs and creating high performing sales collateral.
Manage high level large profile customer accounts when needed.
Develop and lead sales department budgets.
Set KPIs including, but not limited to revenue vs plan contact rate, quote closure rate, and gp%.
Understand margins and institute protocols for maintaining margins and profitability.
Ability to adapt and pivot based on trends and changes in performance.
Improve the effectiveness of the sales organization and enhance productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure the team is equipped with product, systems and selling skills they will need to be successful.
Implement and promote adoption of sales technology including customer relationship management (CRM) and a sales intranet.
Develop, document, and enforce sales policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
Directly and indirectly hire and manage all aspects of Nutritionals Sales Division.
10+ years of CPG sales experience in a leadership role in a complex, multi-brand, multi-channel global environment.
Experience leading sales to the health and wellness, spa and beauty, and grocery channels are preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Understands ability to adapt to changing regulations.
