The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations to achieve output and efficiency targets. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
We are seeking an outstanding Manufacturing Manager with the ability to work within a dynamic and fast paced environment. The right candidate will demonstrate a high level of competence in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing teams, whose scope includes: Extraction, Oil Dilution, powder, and future new products or processes as identified by the company. This person must be self-motivated, reliable, hard-working and capable of leading the manufacturing teams to meet their goals while ensuring the delivery of superior customer satisfaction and optimization of manufacturing operations.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Position:
Implement continuous improvement for increased productivity and cost reduction initiatives
Minimize labor costs and conduct evaluations and improvements of processes and procedures
Allocate labor capacity as required to meet business demands for maximum production and efficiency
Lead a daily manufacturing meeting reviewing schedules and inventory levels while also focusing on problem solving
Interface with Health and Safety Manager, Inventory, Facilities, and Quality to establish adequate material availability, along with clean, safe, and functional work spaces and equipment
Ongoing review of documentation and processes in order to facilitate continual improvements
Follow all required work safe practices set by regulatory standards
Work with Quality department to confirm production is compliant with regulatory requirements
Follow cGMP and ensure employee compliance
Work with the Master Production Scheduler to rearrange the manufacturing schedules in response to material or equipment conflicts
Assess skill set of employees and place in roles to achieve increased productivity
Monitor and approve employee time sheets, attendance, and PTO requests
Coordinate and conduct interviews for open positions
Must be willing and able to perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications and Background:
BA/BS and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience (or similar combination of education and experience) working in an FDA regulated industry or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been attained
Must be 18 years of age
Working knowledge of cGMP, food industry, and/or manufacturing experience
Ability to multitask and prioritize a large and diverse task load
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that fluctuates in response to production demands
Sound judgement and good decision making skills
Good planning, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing and packaging
Ability to provide work direction across multiple production areas and shifts
