About You

  • Consumer products goods packaging experience required. 

  • A tactical packaging engineer with dieline, testing, and sourcing experience.

  • Independent and hard working with a great work ethic.

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex projects in tandem from start to finish.

  • Ability to predict, recognize and define problems, and generate, select and implement timely solutions.



  • Manage projects that include design/redesign, development, and commercialization of packages, consolidation, line extensions/efficiencies, and package improvements.

  • Provide leadership for projects to ensure launch timing, testing, enhance product quality, improve integrity are on time and within agreed upon cost objectives and/or driving down costs.

  • Provide comprehensive feasibility of each concept or package that defines function, manufacturability,component cost, preliminary development lead time, risk and global consistency.

  • Test package stability and integrity through various testing processes.

  • Work with sales, marketing, manufacturing and supply chain divisions.

  • Oversee internal and external prototyping as well as design reviews.

  • Work with operations to assure packaging components are of high quality and can easily run on packaging lines to be efficiently produced.

  • Communicate timelines, true cost estimates and risk mitigation plans.

  • Maintain pulse of industry trends, new technologies and new product packaging.



  • BS in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in packaging design, preferably in cosmetics or consumer goods global packaging development.

  • Detailed knowledge of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging types.

  • Knowledge of packaging manufacturing (i.e. folding cartons, shelf life, package stability, component assembly, decorating techniques, etc.).

  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.

  • Understand supply chain, the flow of products and lead time for packaging.

  • Ability to create and structure Bill of Materials (BOM).

  • Have experience in shipping high volume and high-quality products.

  • Have excellent computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Microsoft Project experience or equivalent is a plus.
